Mpeople have a fantastic opportunity for Special Process Engineers to join the expanding team of our well-established client based in the Tameside area. This position will work on a full time, permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, successful candidates will undergo 3 years of references and a DBS check.
- Role: Special Process Engineer
- Location: Dukinfield
- Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
- Hours: 8am to 5pm, with an early finish on Fridays.
Duties as Special Process Engineer will include but not be limited to:
- Carrying out audits against NADCAP pre-audit check sheets
- Identifying issues and implementing corrective actions
- Overseeing aluminium heat treatment
- Material testing processes and compliance
- Ensure compliance is met
- Using WTL/AOG tracker to ensure the process of parts is on time
- Maintain training records, ensuring they are kept up to date
- Create and maintain SOPs for each process
- Working with the Quality Engineer to ensure all plant and testing equipment remains calibrated
- Oversee weekly TUS/SAT checks
- Provide employee training and inductions for new employees
The successful Special Process Engineer will possess the following skills:
- Experience with Heat Treatment is essential, ideally NADCAP
- Ability to understand technical drawings
- Knowledge of sheet metal process
