Are you a Multi Skilled Vehicle Technician with an electrical bias; looking to work within a family run business based in Huddersfield? You will be working for a company with over 20 years’ experience in the leisure industry and a reputation for providing excellent customer service. 

Your main function will be fitting, servicing and repairing within the Workshop.  You will be rewarded with an employer that are Investors in staff training, current technology, offering a good work to life balance, and a business that supports their staff. The hours 42.5 per week Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.00 pm with some flexibility on start and finish times, (overtime available).  Salary £30,000 - £35,000. 

 Vehicle Technician Duties:  

  • Pre delivery, habitation inspection and servicing. 
  • Fitting accessories such as – Awnings, TV’s, Aerials, Bike Racks, Solar Panels, Cameras and Batteries. 
  • Assemble and disassemble machinery for repair or replacement of parts. 
  • 12V and 240 volt repairs and installations. 
  • Diagnose technical and electrical issues and repairs, fault finding and resolution. 
  • Repairing of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage. 
  • Warranty diagnosis and repairs. 
  • Carry out leisure vehicle services, including gas and electrical safety checks, in line with company protocols and vehicle standards. 
  • Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required. 
  • Complete service and repair job sheets with a high level of quality and detail on in- house systems. 
  • Work to company Health and Safety, procedures and protocols.  
  • Some moving of vehicles will be required on a day-to-day basis,  

Vehicle Technician Requirements:   

  • Ideally you will have 2 years' experience in motorhome or caravan repair and maintenance however, other auto repair or vehicle technician backgrounds will be considered. 
  • Relevant Gas qualification (ACOPS or SGTW ) would be advantageous. 
  • Plumbing and Electrical experience would be advantageous. 
  • Required must hold a clean UK Driving License.   
  • Team player,with strong communication, hands on approach with a positive attitude to learning and can work collaboratively.        
  • Exhibit a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, crucial for the role's technical demands.   
  • You must be computer literate as you will be updating in-house systems on each job.
