Mpeople Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Sales Administrator on behalf of our client who are a reputable and thriving manufacturing organisation based in Heywood.

  • Location: Heywood (OL10)
  • Salary: Between £21,000 and £25,000 dependent on experience

The Sales Administrator will act as the liaison and point of contact between customers and internal departments and will be responsible for providing customer service to customers from point of enquiry through to them receiving their orders.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Sales order processing using the internal CRM system
  • Delivering first-class customer service to a broad customer base (telephone and email)
  • Working with the Credit team regarding any blocked orders
  • Account management for an existing customer base
  • Informing customers of any changes with their orders – possible delays, correct unit prices, issues with deliveries etc.
  • Reconciling customer accounts using Microsoft Excel and the CRM system
  • Creating and sending invoices as required to customers
  • Working closely with internal departments to effectively manage customer expectations – production, export, shipping, accounts etc
  • Preparing various reports for management, sales and for customer reference
  • Other duties as required including reception

The required traits, skills, and background

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within an administrative/office-based Customer Service role is essential to be considered for this role
  • Experience with SAP would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Experience working within a manufacturing company would also be advantageous
  • Experience in completing Export/Shipping documentation for international shipments is essential
  • Customer service focused
  • Strong communication and rapport building skills (written and verbal)
  • Organised, methodical and has great time management skills
  • Great team-player, with an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude
