Mpeople Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Northern Field Sales Manager to cover the North West of England & Scotland, on behalf our client who are a market-leading reputable textiles wholesaler based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

  • Salary: In the region of £45,000 dependent on experience
  • Benefits: Company car and fuel expenses covered, as well as an annual performance-based bonus

The Northern Field Sales Manager will be on the road three days per week, and will work from home 2 days. It will be a role where you’ll have a lot of autonomy to manage your own diary and workload.

Key responsibilities include:

  • On days when out on the road, completing 6 to 7 visits per day. Meet with existing customers, strengthening relationships and understanding their needs to maximise sales.
  • Customer data analysis – identifying spending trends and opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell the product range.
  • Lead generation – proactively seeking out new business opportunities within your territory and following up on leads provided by the customer service team.
  • Account management – ensuring customer satisfaction and that solid working relationships are maintained.
  • Client engagement – reengaging with lapsed clients, rekindling relationships and introducing latest offerings.
  • Administration – ensuring all administrative tasks and customer follow-ups ae completed in a timely manner.

 

The required traits, skills, and background

  • To be considered for this role it is essential that you have a minimum of 18 months experience within a similar field based role
  • Experience working within the textiles industry would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Experience in selling physical products rather than a service is preferred, but not essential.
  • Commercial acumen: Ability to analyse customer data and spot opportunities for growth.
  • Proactive and positive attitude: You’re a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organised: You can manage a busy schedule of client meetings, admin tasks, and follow-ups.
