Semi Senior Practice Accountant
Keighley | Full-time | Permanent | ££ depending on experience
At Mpeople, we’re partnering with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Keighley to recruit a Semi Senior Practice Accountant.
This role is ideal for someone currently working in practice who’s looking to build on their experience, gain greater client exposure, and progress within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
Role Outline:
You’ll support a portfolio of SME clients and assist with the preparation of accounts and tax work, working closely with senior colleagues and managers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies
- Assisting with corporation tax computations
- Preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships
- Supporting with VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate working papers
- Liaising with clients and responding to queries
- Using cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
About You:
- Current experience within an accountancy practice
- Studying AAT / ACCA / ACA (or qualified by experience)
- Solid understanding of accounts preparation
- Comfortable working with multiple clients and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
