BILLING ASSOCIATE

Thorpe Park Business Park, Leeds – negotiable up to £27K depending on experience

Due to ongoing growth, my client is looking to take on an additional member within their Billing Department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Billing department are accountable for our entire billing process with the goal of ensuring that all customers are billed accurately each month. You will need to be a highly organised individual, with excellent analytical skills and you must have a resilient approach when dealing with difficult/problematic sites. Reporting to the Billing Manager, this position will see our successful candidate ensure our billing processed run efficiently and effectively.

  • Timely billing of all active sites within the portfolio
  • Respond to complex account and billing queries from both customers and other teams
  • Ability to effectively investigate and determine the root cause of any billing issues
  • Manage the day-to-day processes
  • Follow up on deadlines and co-ordinate further action where required (Unbilled/Ready to Final Bill Reports/Adhoc tasks) to ensure that all sites are billing as they should
  • Ability to deal with high workload on particularly busy days
  • Maintain the accurate billing standards required to ensure a smooth customer journey
  • Resolving and assisting with queries both internally and externally around problematic invoices

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1+ years’ experience within a billing team is essential
  • Knowledge of the industry with regards to how the different utilities are billed is desirable
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • PC literate and competence of Word, Excel and Outlook are required
  • High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail
  • A self-starter who is pro-active and can set and achieve goals
  • Strong organisational & time management skills
  • Ability to recognise potential risks to the firm that should be escalated
