Workshop Engineer
Location: Oldham
Salary: £32-36,000
Mpeople recruitment are excited to be in partnership with a well-established company based in the Oldham area, who are looking to add an experienced Workshop Engineer to their team. This position will work on a full time, permanent basis.
Our client is seeking an experienced Workshop Engineer to join their growing team. This role involves working on a wide range of electrically powered equipment, including EV trucks and battery-powered manual handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PDI and quality checks on new equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electric trucks and lifting equipment
- Service and maintain a variety of battery-powered material handling equipment
- Advanced fault finding and diagnostics
- Complete thorough examinations (LOLER) on new and refurbished equipment
- Provide detailed service reports and follow company protocols
- Understand customer requirements and recommend solutions
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical engineering background with electrical bias
- Hands-on experience in repair and servicing of electric-powered equipment
- Auto electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Level 3 mechanical qualification
- Ability to work independently and produce accurate documentation
