Mpeople Recruitment are excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client who are based in Middleton for a Sales Account Manager. Working closely with our sales and warehouse team for inputting and despatch of all sales orders received.

Role: Sales Account Manager

Location: Middleton

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 – 1 hour for lunch

Salary: £23,500 basic including uncapped commission

Responsibilities include:

  • Consistently generate new business leads and new accounts over the telephone
  • Role will involve B2B telesales and price negotiations
  • Consistently grow the gross profit and achieve the targets as set out
  • Achieve sales productivity and revenue targets
  • Provide our expected high levels of internal and external customer service
  • Provide customers with high quality and relevant quotations
  • Prepare weekly/monthly figures of sales activity as instructed by the Sales Director

 

Essential skills and experiences

  • The successful candidates do not need previous experience of working in a sales environment. You will probably come from an environment of face to face customer interactions or an environment where you have been required to persuade or influence customers.
  • Tenacity, keen to learn and apply sales techniques in a telephone environment, happy to spend the majority of your time on the phone dialling out each day.
  • Helpful, inquisitive and confident to ask for what you want on the phone.
  • Experience of working to KPI’s and monthly targets
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above
  • Solid organisation and administration skills

 

What will the job be like?

Initially you'll be provided with leads which you will need to quality within the saes process, help is always at hand so you'll be working closely with management. We produce printed catalogues, brochures, offers and we have nearly 1000 products so you'll always have something to talk to the customers and prospective customers about. We operate a CRM system so you can effectively track your leads and customers as well as keep a diary of follow up calls and notes on your customers and prospects. There are achievable daily KPI’s in terms of number of phone calls however the main focus on the job is understanding your customers and their needs so we can sell to them effectively.

The successful candidate must be organised to a high standard, have an excellent attention to detail and have good IT knowledge preferably using Microsoft office and excel.
