Salary: £40,000 DOE
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 2pm.

Working alongside other Tech/Customer Support team members in supporting internal/external customers and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and competently, within budget, and to customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Customer Service and Parts team with any technical queries/issues.
- Support our customers with any technical queries/issues, including same day responses/acknowledgements.
- Support and advise (including producing crib sheets) the Customer Service and Parts teams with customer enquiries or issues.
- Manage customer repair projects, resolving any issues from start through to completion, always keeping the customer informed.
- Ensure that the customer database is constantly updated with issues, actions, and WIP under their remit.
- Working alongside other members of the technical service-support operations, proactively overseeing the skill set of the field and workshop service team (including sub-contractors) in partnership with the technical support Lead and Workshop Controller.
- Set minimum/maximum stock levels for the field engineers’ vehicles liaising with the Parts Lead and operations management.
- Ensure all work carried out within the field engineers’ remit are always conducted in a safe and responsible manner, strictly observing all Company and regulatory body Health & Safety procedures, by producing RAMs for any field work undertaken.
- Be aware of EHS regulations and updates, cascading these down to the field engineers (including sub-contractors) and notifying the operations management of non-compliance.
The Candidate
This role is open to an individual who is a quick assimilator of product knowledge, organised, detail orientated and meticulous in their record keeping and report writing.
Team player qualities are essential, along with an engaging, open personality.
The ideal candidate would be an individual who is already working in a service-orientated environment supporting customers’ incoming calls for information and queries regarding equipment repairs and project managing these through to completion. Sound working knowledge of vehicles or electrically powered manual handling equipment is necessary therefore, a level 3 NVQ in mechanics and an auto-electrical diagnostic/repair background is very important. It is desirable that the candidate holds an IOSH and LOLER accreditation. They must possess a good telephone manner and be a good communicator to put across their technical expertise to support and deliver top levels of customer service to our customers.
