Service Advisor

Salary: £28,500

Bonus available and OTE to £38,500 per year

Hours: 8-6 Mon-Fri and 1 in 4 Saturdays

Location: Oldham, In Person

Mpeople Recruitment are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our clients busy team based in Oldham.

As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience by managing service bookings, coordinating repair work, and keeping customers informed throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Book and schedule service and repair appointments.
• Prepare accurate estimates and invoices for completed work.
• Keep customers updated on the progress of their vehicle, including completion times and any unexpected delays.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
• Liaise with technicians to ensure work is completed efficiently and communicate any additional work required.
• Contact customers to explain recommended repairs and obtain approval before work is carried out.
• Identify opportunities to promote additional products and services where appropriate.
• Ensure all paperwork and administrative tasks are completed accurately.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience while supporting the overall performance of the service department.

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a car dealership is essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to build rapport and manage customer expectations professionally.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Good attention to detail and administration skills.
• Previous experience of using Kerridge is advantageous.
• A full clean UK driving licence.
