Are you a Sales and Service Advisor looking to work for an industry leader in manufacturing and retailer who has branches across the UK? Your main function will be to learn the skills of a sales and Service Advisor and undertake any relevant training. To help in the daily running of the store, trade counter, hire equipment, fitting of parts, help achieve sales/margin targets by serving customers professionally, with a focus on customer service. The hours 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (NO WEEKEND WORKING) with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Salary £23,500
Sales and Service Advisor Duties:
- Assist in trade counter sales.
- Actively sell (face to face and over the telephone) and promote company products and associated equipment, ensuring correct procedures are followed.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers.
- Advise and take orders for hire equipment and fitting updating the diary accordingly. Liaise with the workshop team as required to ensure they are kept supplied with a steady workload.
- Build knowledge of the products supplied and displays should be updated and maintained regularly to maximise customer interest.
- Carry out and assist with stock takes as required.
- Ensure all stock orders received are shelved at the earliest opportunity and are presented safely, tidily and in an attractive manner and monitor stock movements and deliveries.
- Process the daily cash paperwork and prepare banking including petty cash and maintain accurate filing systems.
- Ensure cash/cheques banked daily, raise invoices/credit notes accurately.
- Ensure payment for goods is received accurately and/or credit approval obtained.
- Report any discrepancies (monetary or otherwise) to the Store Manager immediately.
- Be trained and operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck where necessary within the Branch. e.g. unloading stock and deliveries.
- Follow company Health and Safety, procedures and protocols.
- Any other duties as is deemed reasonable on request.
The Ideal Sales and Service Advisor would meet the following:
- Required must hold a full clean UK Driving License.
- Must have previous experience in a similar job role within Engineering, Trade Hire, or transferable industry working with customers both face to face and over the telephone.
- Previous branch stock take experience.
- A knowledge of selling products or services and face to face customer interactions is required.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise your own workload, experience of Microsoft office, Word, Outlook.
- Confident communicator with a positive approach, customer focused and a team player.
