Are you a Quality Manager looking to work in a well-established award-winning internationally operating manufacturing company in Standish? Due to growth the company is now expanding their team. Your main function is ensuring the effectiveness of the Quality Department and team, to ensure the company remains compliant to the requirements of the current quality standard and that all documentation to support the system is accurate and readily available.  You will be rewarded with an employer that are Investors in staff training, current technology, offering a good work to life balance. Hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, with a salary of £40,000 - £45,000.  

Quality Manager Duties:  

  • Manage employee relations, performance management and training.  
  • To accurately complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner. 
  • Work to assigned procedures and effective maintenance and monitoring of the Quality Management system. 
  • The resolution of appropriate non-conformities within the system.  
  • Respond to required corrective and preventive action in a timely manner 
  • Ensure that timely and effective action is taken by the appropriate personnel to obtain and maintain compliance with the quality system. 
  • Support combined Internal audit Schedule in accordance with MS 
  • Organising, preparing data, etc. for regular non-conformance reviews – customer complaints & process non- conformance and monitoring of QMS objectives.  
  • To comply with quality audit procedures and management review decisions. 
  • Assist and resolve any appropriate quality problems as they arise from customer or supplier complaints, production and QC testing.   
  • Ensure that the Company Quality Manual, system registration and revision procedures are maintained and liaise with certification representative as and when required. 
  • Set annual quality objectives for quality and monitor progress to achieve  
  • Develop new quality systems and update existing system as required.   
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers on matters related to quality. 
  • Manage, issue and track documents within the QMS. 
  • Carry out internal audits, complete report, issue actions and follow up 
  • Contribute to the Quality Meetings & Reports on a quarterly and annual basis 
  • Immediately report any incident which management need to address using the appropriate reporting systems in place. 
  • Ensure that all duties/activities associated within quality department are carried out in compliance to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management systems. 

Quality Manager Requirements:  

  • Required Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Quality Assurance or similar industry.  
  • Mus to hold a BTEC / HNC in relevant subject. 
  • Lead Auditor 9001, 4001 & 45001 is desirable. 
  • Required a good understanding QMS and ISO 9001:2015 
  • Ability to complete root cause analysis and contribute to investigations. 
  • Must be able to manage a team, improve processes and product quality with experience of KPIs & Setting objectives. 
  • IT literate in Microsoft Office Packages Word, Excel, Outlook 
  • Strong communication both written and verbal, able to build relationships, understanding of working in fast paced environments with the ability to prioritise and adapt to change, whilst able to understand process or continuous improvement.       
  • Model and promote an organisational culture that fosters safety through effective leadership.  
  • Team player, hands on approach with a positive attitude to learning and can work collaboratively.
