Quality Inspector – Full –Time – Manufacturing - Bolton  

Mpeople Recruitment are assisting in the recruitment of a Quality Inspector for an international manufacturing company, you will be based at the Head Office in Bolton. You will be part of a group of companies, renowned in their industry, whose products are designed and developed at each site, innovative, environmentally forward thinking and collaborative in approach with a recognised known client base and established learning and development training pathways and packages available for all employees.   As part of a collaborative team approach the company encourages staff to submit ideas, to improve processes, working together to a shared company goal.    You will be rewarded with, a supportive business, great work to life balance (no weekend working) the position is full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4.00 pm and Friday 7.30 am – 12.50 pm.   

As a Quality Inspector your responsibilities would include:  

  • Assist the Quality team in carrying out internal audits.  
  • Work with the Quality Team and Quality Manager in any co-ordinated document change control processes roll out to the Production and wider team.  
  • To record and report daily process-based quality checks as per company procedures.  
  • Conducting quality control, product and equipment processes.  
  • Assess goods inwards inspections and raise any progressive actions with suppliers. 
  • Assess production procedures, incoming and outgoing products, compliance checks across the business, record and report daily on random process-based quality checks.  
  • Maintain, monitor and record scrap levels. 
  • You will support production Technicians and the Quality Team in compiling SOP’s and work instructions to ensure all documentation and standards are adhered to.  
  • Assist the Quality team and Operations Manager to drive continuous improvement and establish Lean Values.  
  • Identify quality issues arising from inspections and ensure they are raised and escalated to the appropriate team as required.  
  • Monitor and report on customer returns and address any customer issues with quality to resolution. 
  • Work to Health and Safety standards in line with company procedures.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required by the business. 

The Ideal Quality Inspector would meet the following:   

  • Must have previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.  
  • A recognised quality control or engineering qualification would be advantageous however, not essential. 
  • Must have a good understanding of working to ISO 9001/ 14001. 
  • You will be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Word, especially Excel. Strong communicator written and verbal, have a good data entry skillset, able to build relationships, understanding of working in fast paced environments with the ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to change.       
  • Ability to meet targets and deadlines.  
  • Team player, hands on approach with a positive attitude to learning, can work collaboratively.
