QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT - SOLICITORS
Bury – Salary negotiable up to £65,000 per annum – Flexible working options
Our client, a multi-disciplinary solicitors based in Bury are looking for a qualified accountant for their practice. This role would suit someone wanting to play a pivotal role in a growing legal firm, offering both a firm financial grounding and also a strategic direction for the firm.

The main responsibilities of the Qualified Accountant role are:-
- To deliver robust period end accounts and the annual group statutory accounts, with clear audit opinions
- Developing and maintaining systems of internal financial controls, and pursuing measures to ensure they are adhered to
- To set and deliver measured KPIs for the financial stability of the Group
- To identify new funding streams for any potential merger and acquisitions
- To provide sound and technical tax advice, including VAT, corporation, etc
- To develop the finance function, seeking efficiency and effectiveness in every aspects
- To deliver single and multi-year budgets, plus accurate in-year reporting of forecasts and budget holder actions
- To provide technical finance & procurement advice and guidance to the Group
- To ensure all finance related regulator returns are completed accurately, and submitted on a timely basis
- To Support the senior managers / owners in producing documentation in line with the Strategic plan
The ideal Qualified Accountant would meet the following criteria:-
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Qualified Accountant OR Part-Qualified Accountant with several years of experience in a senior position
- Experience of production and review of financial reporting i.e. Monthly Management Accounts & Statutory financial statements
- Experience of providing financial returns in a regulated sector
- Presentation of financial information to non-finance audience
- Writing board papers
- Multi-year Cash flow management
- Budget setting and 3-year financial planning at organisation and departmental level
- Up to date knowledge of Procurement & Payroll guidelines
