Purchasing Specialist - UK Manufacturing (Multi-Site)
Mpeople Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Purchasing Specialist to manage procurement operations across UK sites.
You’ll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials and components, maintaining SAP master data (MM/PP), monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring material availability aligned to cost, quality and delivery targets.
Key duties include:
- Material requirements analysis, sourcing, and purchase order management
- Supplier performance tracking and issue resolution (OTD, quality, delivery)
- SAP MM/PP key user support and master data maintenance
- Customs and courier coordination for international shipments
- Inventory optimisation, safety stock control, and cost-saving initiatives
- Cross-functional collaboration with production, engineering, finance & quality teams
What we’re looking for:
- Proven purchasing experience within manufacturing/industrial environments
- SAP or similar ERP/MRP system proficiency
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills
- Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
Role details:
- Salary: £35,000 per year
- Location: Onsite (UK multi-site travel may be required)
- Type: Full-time, 40hrs / wk, Permanent
