Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Paralegal or Conveyancing Assistant to join our team at our Leeds City Centre Head Office. This role involves supporting solicitors and fee earners in handling a variety of commercial property matters, from file opening to completion.

The ideal candidate will have at least six months of experience in either commercial or residential property and will be able to work efficiently while delivering high standards of client care. The role offers scope for increased responsibility as knowledge and experience grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with matters at all stages, from initial client instructions to case completion, under supervision
  • Liaising with clients and other parties on behalf of fee earners and managing enquiries
  • Providing administrative support to solicitors, fee earners, and partners
  • Obtaining and preparing file documentation
  • Managing billing processes and ensuring payments are received
  • Coordinating with the Accounts department for financial transactions
  • Handling filing, photocopying, and document collation
  • Maintaining legal knowledge and skills
  • Contributing to a safe and efficient working environment
  • Assisting in maintaining and improving office procedures
  • Undertaking other duties as required by the firm

  • Capability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to present and argue a case effectively
  • Proficiency in IT systems

Experience & Training

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in Commercial Property or Residential Property (Commercial Property preferred)
  • Full training and support provided to develop legal skills further
