Are you a Maintenance Manager looking to work in a well-established award-winning internationally operating manufacturing company in Standish? Due to growth the company is now expanding their team. Your main function is ensuring the effectiveness of the Maintenance Department and team, contribute to decision-making process to achieve higher standards in associated field of activities. .  You will be rewarded with an employer that are Investors in staff training, current technology, offering a good work to life balance, and a business that supports their staff and local community. Hours Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, with a salary of £45,000 - £50,000. 

Maintenance Manager Duties: 

  • Manage employee relations, performance management and training. 
  • Regular review of production schedule with Planning Manager to identify planned maintenance opportunities. 
  • Provide plant and process technical support where applicable. 
  • Attend Management meetings as and when required 
  • Regular review of production schedule with Planning Manager to identify planned maintenance opportunities 
  • Provide engineering reports to areas of the business upon and implement and manage Planned preventative Maintenance. 
  • Ensuring to meet all compliance with Management of Change [MOC] procedures. 
  • Report any incident as per the company protocol. 
  • Trouble-shoot problems, implement and communicate corrective and preventative actions in a timely manner 
  • Ensure engineering spares and stores is managed effectively. 
  • Manage site services, Steam, Utilities, Civils, and Ancillaries Implement and maintain a high level of housekeeping. standards Manage and lead projects and improvements. 
  • Support the effective running of production. 
  • To accurately complete and update all necessary documentation/ reports relating to the Engineering including referencing, SOP’s, Risk Assessments, and toolbox talks, Safe Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments/ HAZZOP and PPM. 
  • Manage visitors, contractors, insurance inspection visits and suppliers onsite. 

Maintenance Manager Requirements: 

  • Required qualified up to degree level or served full apprenticeship and trained in Mechanical Engineering. 
  • We require that you have worked in a similar position for 3 years plus and managed projects and teams. 
  • Must have IOSH Managing safely. 
  • some experience of working in an ATEX chemical or process type industry, and an understanding of COMAH would be advantageous however, training will be given. 
  • Supervisory / Management Qualification (ILM, NEBS), Awareness and appropriate contributions to management systems [45001,14001 & 9001], NEBOSH Level 3 certificate is desirable. 
  • Experience working with a Plant maintenance system, working with chemical reactors repairs and maintenance would be advantageous. 
  • Strong communication both written and verbal, able to build relationships, understanding of working in fast paced environments with the ability to prioritise and adapt to change, whilst able to understand process or continuous improvement.      
  • Model and promote an organisational culture that fosters safety through effective leadership. 
  • Team player, hands on approach with a positive attitude to learning and can work collaboratively.
