£24000 - £27000 - DOE plus great benefits

Permanent -  Monday to Friday 

 

Our client one of the UK’s largest independent freight companies,  who is actively recruiting for a Permanent Import/Export Administrator within Rotherham. This company prides itself on maintaining high standards of customer care and operational excellence. As part of our growing team, you will play a vital role in processing branch imports and exports while ensuring compliance with industry norms are maintained, coupled with maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, ensuring accurate and timely information is communicated.
  • Accurately collate necessary information for processing jobs and ensuring profitable billing.
  • Manage job control through proactive communication with colleagues, overseas correspondents, hauliers, and customers.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, aiming to maximize shipment profitability.
  • Liaise with customs staff to facilitate quick clearance of imports in line with customer requirements.
  • Build and nurture effective working relationships across the business, particularly with the warehouse team to align on loading/off-loading instructions.

Your Profile:

  • Experience in administrative roles, preferably within the import/export or freight sectors ideally
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
