We are currently recruiting for a HR Assistant for a well-established company in Bolton with a recognised brand, a large client base with branches nationally and a head office based in Bolton.  You will be working in a fast-paced HR department in a company that employ over 2000 staff across the group, your role is in an advisory capacity supporting both staff and Managers, ensuring efficient operation of the departments on site.  You will be rewarded with ongoing training and development opportunities, and a supportive working environment. Hours 37.5 Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Salary is £24,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience.     

HR Assistant Duties: 

  • You will be the first point of contact for HR and employee queries and provide relevant advice as per company policy. 
  • Assist in absence management. 
  • Supporting management through day to day administrative duties and providing cover when the Administrator is off. 
  • Support hiring managers in the creation of new job role profiles, assist with recruitment of new staff by undertaking telephone assessments, scheduling, and assisting with interviews, feeding back to unsuccessful candidates.    
  • Coordinating training days and acting as the first point of contact for queries and liaising with training providers. 
  • Onboarding new staff. 
  • Support HR in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.   
  • Adhere to GDPR and maintain integrity and confidentiality. 
  • Other ad hoc duties. 

HR Assistant Requirements:  

  • Experience of working in a similar position or a HR Administrator looking to take the next step in their career.   
  • Strong communicator, confident in making decisions, able to delegate in writing and face-to-face interactions with the team and wider staff.      
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail, meet deadlines and have a positive attitude.     
  • IT literate in Microsoft Office Packages Word, Excel, Outlook.
