Group Financial Controller

Leeds (East)

£50- £60K

Our client based in East Leeds is actively recruiting for a experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts reporting, cashflow management, Customer and Supplier management, financial risk management. Development of internal control policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the business P&L, business planning and budgetary responsibility for all operation and commercials, ensuring optimum performance
  • Manage all accounting operations including: Billing; Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable, Revenue Recognition, Cashflow and Bank Accounts.
  • Co-ordinate and manage the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances and action plans.
  • Prepare, publish and present timely weekly and monthly statements.
  • Complete all required regulatory reporting and submissions.
  • Business compliance
  • Complete month and year end
  • Manage and comply with regulatory reporting requirements and company tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Develop and implement scalable and efficient strategies to ensure both consistent results and exponential growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement.
  • Continuously evaluate strategic priorities, financial structure and capital strategy, and develop the business model ahead of the market.
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders and business partners. Provide strategic advice to the CEO so that we have an accurate view of the financial market 
  • Proactively mitigate business, operational, governance and compliance risks.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven track record working as a Financial Controller
  • Advanced degree in economics, finance or accounting
  • ACCA or CMA preferred
