Funding Co-ordinator

30 hours per week - hybrid working available

Huddersfield

up to £26K pro-rota

Main purpose of the job

 

You will keep track of funding opportunities and collate and maintain a bank of information to support submissions.   The role will coordinate and support the writing of bids and tenders and project manage internal and external writers to develop the submission.  The post holder will track progress towards required dates for submission and also review the success of submissions, so that we continuously improve our performance.

 

Main duties

 

  • Research and identify funding to support current and new initiatives
  • Coordinate the writing of bids at all stages; from frameworks to mini competitions, taking the lead on smaller bids, supporting managers and external writers on other bids and gathering information from internal and external early years experts
  • Monitor and review all tender applications and ensure all reporting and legal requirements are recorded for successful bids
  • Develop, review and maintain corporate information required for the submission of bids and tenders
  • Collect and analyse evidence of the charity’s impact, so this can be used to support bids, tenders and partnerships
  • Take responsibility for gathering information and work with other teams to initiate and support research into new project areas
  • Provide proof reading support to colleagues across the charity
  • Research and identify opportunities
  • Seek out appropriate funding for current and new projects
  • Manage the funding alerts process and keep managers up to date with funding opportunities
  • Keep abreast of government initiatives and policy statements affecting the companies members, working closely with the policy team
  • Prepare bid timelines and produce / communicate / co-ordinate bid action plans
  • Complete organisational information sections of bid documents and support managers in the development and writing of bids
  • Liaise with external writers on the development and writing of bids as necessary
  • Ensure that applications for funding are submitted on time
  • Ensure that applications are accurate and comply with requirements
  • Assist in establishing and deployment of protocols for collaborative bids
  • Liaise with managers to ensure applications are deliverable and viable
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of standard statements for use in applications and gather and record testimonials and references.  Ensuring that these are filed, kept up to date and accessible for all managers
  • Act as a final editor for applications as required
  • Ensure all reporting and legal requirements of funded projects/contracts are recorded, including State Aid checks.
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Report, file and record all successful, unsuccessful and pending applications
  • Support bid analysis, evaluations, audits and impact assessments
  • Undertake FOI requests on unsuccessful applications
  • Research and recommend new project areas in line with the companies vision, mission and business objectives
  • Network and attend appropriate forums and meetings for information gathering purposes, identifying opportunities for collaboration with other organisations
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as commensurate with the post.
