Financial Accountant
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time | Early finish on Fridays (ask for details)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Hybrid Working: Option to work from home on Fridays after probation
Our client, a well-established organisation within the manufacturing sector, is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who enjoys working in a hands-on role, supporting both day-to-day finance operations and wider business reporting.
Role Overview
You’ll be responsible for producing accurate and timely management accounts, maintaining robust financial controls, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards. The role will involve continuous process improvement, analysis, and collaboration with auditors and wider teams to support business performance.
Main Duties
- Oversee daily accounting tasks including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with forecasting and budgets.
- Monitor and improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS and support statutory reporting requirements.
- Work closely with auditors during annual audits and prepare all required documentation.
- Identify opportunities to enhance systems and streamline reporting practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Solid understanding of IFRS and, ideally, exposure to contract accounting.
- Advanced Excel ability and confident use of ERP/finance systems.
- Analytical and detail-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and organisational abilities.
