Transactional Finance Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Leeds
Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday
Core hours: 09:00 – 13:00

The Opportunity
Mpeople are proud to be supporting a Leeds-based organisation in the appointment of a Transactional Finance Assistant. This is a hands-on, part-time position within a friendly and well-established finance function, ideal for an experienced transactional finance professional looking for consistent hours with flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Ledger
- Raising and processing sales invoices
- Allocating incoming payments
- Resolving customer invoice and payment queries
- Supporting credit control activities
Purchase Ledger
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching, batching, and coding invoices
- Preparing supplier payments
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
Credit Ledger / Credit Control
- Monitoring outstanding customer balances
- Chasing overdue payments in line with agreed terms
- Maintaining accurate customer account records
- Supporting cash flow management
About You
- Proven experience in a transactional finance role (sales ledger, purchase ledger and/or credit control)
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, process-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using finance systems and Excel
- Professional and approachable communicator
Qualifications
- No professional qualification required
- AAT qualification (or working towards AAT) would be advantageous
