Salary: Basic up to £45,000 – dependant on experience & bonus structure £10,000 - £15,00

Car: comp car or car scheme

Area: Northern England and Scotland.

Hours of work: 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with 45 mins lunch

Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays - rises with service

The Field Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening the companies market position across Northern England and Scotland.

The role is primarily sales-focused, with responsibility for generating revenue through proactive account development, new customer acquisition, and specification-led selling within target sectors.

The successful candidate will act as a commercial ambassador for the business, building strong relationships with customers, specifiers, and industry stakeholders to maximise sales performance and market share.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales growth and profitability across the designated territory.
  • Achieve or exceed agreed sales targets, KPIs, and strategic objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within target markets.
  • Proactively generate and manage a strong sales pipeline.
  • Increase market penetration through new customer acquisition and account expansion.
  • Promote Bohle’s core product ranges, with particular focus on strategic growth categories.
  • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and commercial proposals to customers.

Account Management & Relationship Development

  • Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and high-value customers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen partnerships and identify opportunities.
  • Actively cross-sell and upsell Bohle product solutions.
  • Provide commercial support and technical guidance aligned with customer needs.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the sales cycle.

Market Development & Specification Sales

  • Develop relationships with clients.
  • Identify specification opportunities and support projects from enquiry through to order conversion.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market developments.
  • Provide structured market intelligence to support company strategy.

Sales Performance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and customer activity records within CRM/ERP systems.
  • Track performance against targets and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and reports for management review.
  • Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities and performance trends.

Working Hours

Normal working hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to meet customer and business needs. The role is home-based and requires regular regional travel, including attendance at sales meetings, exhibitions, and company events.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven field sales experience with a strong track record of achieving targets.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
