Job Title: Customer Service Advisor
Location: Burnley Area
Job Type: Temporary – 6 Months (with potential for review/extension)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join a reputable organisation based in the Burnley area on a 6-month temporary contract. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, supporting a range of inbound technical queries, processing information, and offering high-quality service.
Please note: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check as part of the compliance process.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive inbound calls and respond to technical and service enquiries

Provide professional advice and guidance to customers

Take secure payments over the phone

Update customer records using an internal bespoke CRM system

Contact customers regarding alerts or account activity

Monitor device statuses and help resolve malfunctions

Carry out secure customer verification and identity checks

Prepare and send personalised communications in full GDPR compliance

Manage expectations through clear and professional communication

Support internal reporting for team leaders and managers

Accurately close down system alerts

Perform other duties as required by the line manager
Key Skills & Experience Required:

Experience in a customer service or service delivery environment is essential

Strong IT skills, including CRM/database systems and Microsoft Office

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Calm and effective under pressure

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professional, proactive, and flexible attitude

Able to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines

Confident in dealing with a wide range of customer scenarios
