CREDIT CONTROLLER
Dewsbury – up to £28K depending on experience
Our client is looking for a Credit Controller to work at their established site based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
The main responsibilities of the Credit Control role are:-
- Responsible for maximising cash collection and minimising debts for 4000+ customer base
- Maintain debtor days within the company target
- Ensure current debts are collected within customer payment terms
- Any overdue debt is collected either internally or via enforcement agencies and court procedures
- Deal with queries and communicate with relevant parties (internal and external) to resolve
- Post and allocate customer cash received
- Process sales ledger invoices and upload to customer portals as required
- Administration of the credit held queue
- Maintenance of the customer base, new accounts, credit checks, references
- Covering holiday absence of accounts team
- Cash forecasting
The ideal Credit Controller would meet the following criteria:-
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role is essential
- Strong communication skills; ability to have challenging conversations
- Keeping up to date with new legislation
- Excellent time management skills (demonstrated with examples)
- Experience of working with 3rd party companies
