Mpeople Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller / B2B Collections Executive on behalf of a well-established client based in Rochdale.
To be considered for this role you must have previous and recent experience (minimum 18 months) within B2B collections, credit control or commercial debt recovery.
Our client specialises in credit hire, vehicle repair and accident management, supporting customers involved in non-fault road traffic accidents. They manage the full accident journey, from vehicle hire and vehicle repairs through to recovering the associated costs from the responsible insurer or third party.
Location: Rochdale, OL16
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00 or 09:00–17:30 (37.5 hours)
As a Credit Controller / B2B Collections Executive, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio and proactively recovering outstanding monies. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own caseload of up to 300 claims
- Proactively pursuing and recovering outstanding payments from businesses and third parties
- Negotiating payment and achieving successful recovery outcomes
- Liaising with insurers, solicitors, businesses, clients and other third parties
- Investigating and resolving disputes relating to liability and the amount owed
- Recovering costs relating to credit hire, vehicle repairs, storage, recovery and uninsured losses
- Processing payments and incoming correspondence
- Handling telephone enquiries and maintaining strong professional relationships
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring cases are progressed efficiently
- Managing your workload effectively to meet recovery and performance targets
Essential Experience
- Previous experience recovering outstanding money from businesses or commercial customers
- Experience within B2B credit control, commercial collections, accounts receivable, debt recovery or a similar role
- Confident communicating with customers and businesses by telephone and email
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to achieve positive payment outcomes
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage a large caseload
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Desirable, But Not Essential
- Experience within motor claims, credit hire or accident management
- Knowledge of the ABI GTA
- Previous experience dealing with insurers or solicitors
- Experience recovering uninsured losses
