As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will work closely with experienced Conveyancers, assisting in all stages of the conveyancing process and ensuring clients have a seamless and positive experience during their property transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Conveyancers in Document Preparation: Assist in preparing and processing legal documentation for both residential and commercial property transactions, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Client Communication: Respond to client queries, providing clear and timely updates on case statuses, ensuring clients are kept informed and at ease throughout the process.
  • Case File Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date case files and client records, adhering to internal procedures, legal regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Property Searches & Liaison: Conduct property searches and liaise with relevant authorities, stakeholders, and third parties to ensure the smooth progression of transactions.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks within the conveyancing department to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of all tasks.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous Experience in a Legal Environment: Experience as a Clerk or in a similar role within a legal setting, with exposure to conveyancing processes.
  • Conveyancing Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential and commercial conveyancing processes, relevant legislation, and property transactions.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing legal documentation and maintaining case records.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and keep track of client information and documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with clients, Conveyancers, and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive & Willing to Learn: A proactive approach to problem-solving with a willingness to take initiative and further develop legal expertise.
