COMMERCIAL ANALYST

The main responsibilities of the Commercial Analyst roles are:-
- Producing and maintaining reports exported from our internal systems for the benefit of both internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain, update and develop gas & electric pricing and retail models
- Develop pricing strategies and plans to support growth of my client’s portfolio
- Own and manage all areas of gas costing, pricing and forecasting processes
- Provide commentary of energy pricing in the UK to update departmental budgets as necessary
- Support with bespoke and ad-hoc reporting for other departments
- Drive improvements and change within the team to improve efficiencies, quality and performance
The ideal Commercial Analyst would meet the following criteria:-
- High degree of proficiency using Excel is essential with VBA/SQL strongly desired. Power Query, Python or R programming experience is also desirable but not critical
- Excellent problem solver and a logical thinker
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
- Quick learner with a positive attitude and willingness to help others throughout the business
- Excellent verbal, written and organisational skills
- Proven track record of working in a similar role
- Knowledge of the energy industry is desired but not essential
