Key Responsibilities:

  • Ledger Management: Ensure office, client, and nominal account ledgers are updated daily to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Billing & Data Entry: Process private client, Legal Aid, and Legal Help bills, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Payment Processing: Handle legal aid fees and disbursements, raising cheques and processing card payments with precision.
  • Banking & Reconciliation: Perform regular banking tasks, reconciling accounts in line with SRA accounts rules and internal policies.
  • Efficient Payment Transactions: Timely processing of electronic payments, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Petty Cash Management: Oversee and maintain the firm’s petty cash system.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide cover and support to other team members, contributing to a smooth-running department.
  • SRA Compliance: Ensure all financial processes are in line with SRA Accounts Rules, HMRC regulations, and other key legislation.
