Location: Field Based Role / Central UK

Package: Up to £40K + Car + Bonus Package

We are pleased to be assisting a valued client find their next Business Development Manager. Our client is one of the UK’s premier commercial catering and refrigeration equipment suppliers. They serve a range of partners, from the hottest new restaurants to household names and are passionate about working in a busy and demanding sector to support the nationwide catering industry.

We are looking for someone who is resourceful and energetic, who is self-motivated, with the hunger to identify and approach new customers. In a challenging market, your achievements will be generously rewarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create sustainable, consistent profit-making sales and new business
  • Be a brand ambassador, understand and embrace the client offer
  • Identify target markets and develop opportunities
  • Generate leads by cold calling prospective customers
  • Seek out the relevant contacts to approach
  • Arrange and attend face to face meetings
  • Create and deliver professional, compelling sales presentations
  • Be tenacious – ensure leads are brought to a natural conclusion
  • Develop and manage a strong and growing forward sale pipeline

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Business Development Manager
  • Demonstrable experience of being able to work independently
  • The ability to meet short deadlines and specific targets
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Working constructively with demanding customers
  • Some catering and hospitality experience would be advantageous
  • Natural, professional sales skills
  • An excellent communicator with fantastic interpersonal skills
  • Full driving license
  • PC literate / MS Office (PowerPoint / Word / Excel)
  • Good understanding of all social media platforms
  • Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekend
