Are you a Quality Control Team Leader or a Quality Control Assistant looking to take your first step into a Team Leader job role, with a supportive company who will give you on the job training? If so, we want you to apply.   Mpeople are working with a well-established company in Wigan, who are ideally looking to have you in the role as soon as possible.  The position is ideally suited for someone looking to progress their career within an ever-expanding Company with ongoing training opportunities.  Salary £22,000 - £28,000  dependent on experience, hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Friday 9.00 am to 4.00 pm with one hour for lunch. 

Quality Team Leader Duties: 

  • Provide support to the Quality Manager and wider team.  
  • Lead the Site Quality Team ensuring maximisation of their individual contribution to the business. 
  • Assist development and maintenance of appropriate systems.
  • Monitor and update Quality Management System and resolve of appropriate non-conformities within the system.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner. 
  • Help maintain ISO9001:2015 QMS standards.
  • Respond pro-actively to quality issues, to comply with quality audit procedures and management review decisions.
  • Lead Health and Safety initiatives and meetings, attend Management Meetings 
  • Staff training.
  • Demonstrate a structured approach to using best practice techniques. 
  • Dealing with day to day internal and external quality concerns. 
  • Use Root Cause Analysis/8D techniques to ensure concerns are satisfactorily closed out. 

Quality Team Leader Job Requirements: 

  • Required background in a quality role ideally with a knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Desirable Internal and External Auditing preferred but not essential.
  • Have good problem-solving skills with excellent communication both written and verbal.    
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst prioritising workloads.     
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
