My client, an exciting, high-growth, business is looking to recruit a Product Development & Merchandising Manager - Textiles

A market leader in their field, my client operations both in the UK and internationally. A strong well-known brand - they are an on exciting growth journey. Product development is crucial to their ongoing success, with this role focusing on a private label product.

  • Develop and build the new product portfolio and be the primary lead for the stage gate process
  • Lead on aligning the wider team of products launches
  • Understand company and brand strategy, ensuring product development focuses on sustainability, diversity and traceability in line with objectives
  • Build new product strategy plan and budget to fit with brand and company ethos
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to optimize product availability and maximise sales.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including buying and supply chain to align merchandising strategies with overall business goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels, sales trends, and customer demands to identify potential gaps or overstocks.
  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of merchandising efforts and propose corrective actions when necessary.

The ideal candidate for this Product Development Manager role will possess the following skills/expertise:

  • Strong product development experience
  • Proven experience as a Merchandising Manager or a similar role in a retail setting
  • Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to manage and motivate a team
  • Can deal with a number of tasks simultaneously with good planning and organization skills.
  • Good communication skills
  • Can work well under pressure
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
