Hire Controller
Southern Region
£30K - £32K plus car allowance and benefits
Our client is seeking an experienced Hire Controller to work in the Southern region, you will be the central point of contact for all the Northern region customers, placing orders and making enquiries, co-ordinating machine allocation, deliveries and collections.
Duties and experience will include:
Taking hire enquiries via telephone, email and online ordering systems
Checking availability of machines and ensuring that machine statuses are always up to date on the system
Co-ordinating with the engineering and transport teams to ensure the correct machines are ready and delivered to customer sites
Dealing with customer complaints and damages
Dealing with customers professionally and polite, maximising sales using your product knowledge
Maintaining health and Safety standards within the office
Communicating effectively with other colleagues, and providing a helpful and friendly point of contact for depot enquiries
Requires travelling to all depots across the Southern region
The ideal candidate:
Previous experience in a customer focussed role
Experience of working on a hire desk would be a distinct advantage
Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
Outgoing and enthusiastic
Excellent communication skills face to face, over email and phone
Time keeping
