Mpeople are working with a well-established Wigan Manufacturers who are looking for a Financial Accountant. You will have an excellent work to life balance, advanced career opportunities, ongoing training, and great colleagues. Salary £50,000 – £60,000. Hours Monday to Friday 9.00 am till 5.00 pm.

• Manage a small team of office staff, manage workloads, individually and as team, staff one to ones, personal development plans and training.
• Account reconciliations, recording financial transactions, providing financial reports.
• Completing VAT returns, submission to HMRC for PAYE, VAT and pensions.
• Purchase ledger, sales ledger.
• Budget and cashflow forecasting, bill of materials costings.
• Ensure all procedures and processes are being adhered to.
• Verifying the accuracy of business accounts.
• Maintaining bookkeeping files.
• Recording depreciation and other adjusting entries, inconsistencies and reconciling other inaccuracies.
• Identify efficiencies, processes and implement procedures to ensure smooth running of the office and contribute to the departments and business success.
• Liaise with Managing Director on all accountancy matters.

Financial Accountant Requirements:

• Required fully ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• 5 years' experience within a similar role desirable.
• Good organisational skills with effective time management and meeting strict reporting deadlines.
• Must have worked in a supervisor or similar Management role, managed people and understand running a busy office required.
• Familiar in commercial environment desirable.
• Required, familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software, Excel, Word.
• Flexible and professional with a can-do attitude, organised and the ability to prioritise essential.
