Estimator

£30-£35K dependant on experience

Our Client are looking for an experienced Estimator within manufacturing to join their team in Leeds.  You will produce timely and accurate costing models and business analysis in line with requirements, promote continuous improvement, through identifying and developing commercial opportunities, be an effective member of the commercial team on all levels.

Specific Responsibilities

• To act as an Estimator directed by the Commercial manager.
• To contribute to on going projects including both analysis and optimizing costs.
• To participate in all activities of the department including estimates, pricing and analysis.
• To ensure that all estimates and live jobs and historical data are accurate and reflect the optimum manufacturing capability.
• You will be expected to liaise , update and report daily to the Commercial manager.
• Also to regularly mediate with all appropriate internal stakeholders for commercial and pricing decisions including purchasing, planning and production, sales and senior management.

Required Skills

• Advanced level of Excel
• Ability to work under strict deadlines and to targets
• Data analysis and high level of numeracy
• Collating reports using monthly and historical data
• Methodical way of working, attention to detail
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry in general
• Experience using a Business Management System ideally bespoke for manufacturing
• Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to understand clear written and verbal instructions.
• Self-motivated
• Good understanding of procedures and processes.
• Highly responsible, reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic
• Quality and safety conscious
