Customer Service Support - International

Role Profile

Mpeople Recruitment are partnering with a well established Retailer/Manufacturer with an international presence, based in Huddersfield, to assist them with the recruitment process of a Customer Service Support - International to work out of their operation in Huddersfield. In this role you will ensure all of the Company's export compliance requirements are satisfied in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

Range of duties:

  • Providing a high level of customer service to International Customers through both email and telephone communication
  • Processing of International sales orders, working closely with the Planning and Logistics departments
  • Answering customer enquiries, specifically relating to export documentation
  • Ensuring export documentation is requested or created (Export Declaration, Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin)
  • Provide transport certificates to customers as and when required (e.g., DGN, COC, EX1, EUR1)
  • Filing of paperwork and obtaining proof of export and associated documentation
  • Ensure compliance of standard operating procedures
  • Liaising with all departments to ensure customer needs are met/satisfied
  • Providing support and cover for other members of the team, as and when required
  • All other administration tasks, as and when required

Key Skills

• Experience of working in an international company with export knowledge

• Strong communication skills in terms of providing advice and ensuring that the business meets all compliance requirements, whilst building and maintaining positive relationships across the business

Completion of ITOPS Qualification (International Trade Operations and Procedures) would be desirable but not essential.

Key Skills

• Experience of working in an international company with import/export knowledge of minimum 2 years

• Strong communication skills in terms of providing advice and ensuring that the business meets all compliance requirements, whilst building and maintaining positive relationships across the business

• Qualification from accredited trade body (desirable)
