Mpeople recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a reputable business based in Oldham. Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller & Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Role: Credit Controller & Accounts Assistant
Location: Oldham
Hours: 8:30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £23,000 per year
Reporting to the Financial controller, as Credit Controller & Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for the day to day transacting and administration of the accounts department.
Duties of Credit Controller & Accounts Assistant:
- Your primary duty will be credit control
- You will also be required to assist the accounts office with any of the following duties
- Sales and purchase ledger reconciliations
- Dealing with accounts queries
- Managing petty cash transactions
- Managing expense claims
- Processing Vat returns
- Payroll duties
- Cashflows
- Sorting incoming and outgoing daily post
- Checking, processing, posting and coding purchase invoices
- Allocating purchase invoices to PO numbers
- Checking, processing, posting and coding sales invoices
- Posting and allocating all bank transactions
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing payment runs
- Any other duties as reasonably required
