Our client is looking for Junior Assistant Management Accountant to join the business based in Halifax.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to progress themselves within an ever growing business.  Offering a salary of £25,000 with company benefits.

Role Requirements

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, working with the Finance Director ,  responsible for UK Manufacturing, the role requires an enthusiastic individual to assist the Manufacturing and Finance team in preparing timely and accurate information to stakeholders whilst having the ambition to continuously improve processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare monthly P&L accounts and balance sheets for the UK Manufacturing of the business.
• Prepare month end control reconciliations, investigate and resolve queries.
• Provide support to the Management Accounts team.
• Review and implement control procedures within the Manufacturing process
• Prepare information for tax management and reporting.
• Assist with the audit process.
• Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
• Run regular stock takes
• Assist with production KIP reports

Skills & Relevant Experience

• Essential to have double entry accounting knowledge.
• Previous experience of working in a finance environment preferred.
• Excel skills to Pivot Table and VLOOKUP standard.
• Knowledge of SAP and Sage 50 would be advantageous.
• Ability to use initiative and manage own workload within required timescales.
• Highly numerate and have strong analytical skills.
• Positive and committed approach to continuous improvements.
