Mpeople Recruitment are looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts & Payroll Manager on behalf of one of the leading Electrical Contractors based in the North West of England. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for our client based in Bury.
Location: Bury (BL9)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday
The Accounts & Payroll Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the accounts function within the business. Duties will include but not be limited to:
Weekly Duties:
• Payroll (approx. 70 employees)
• Sales Ledger
• Purchase Ledger
• Credit Control
• Job Costing
Monthly Duties:
• Returns – Tax, NI, Pensions, Sub-Contractors, Vouchers, ECIBA etc.
• Payroll (approx. 10 employees)
• Nominal Ledger Control
• Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger Control
• Monthly Movement Reports
• Profit and Loss / Balance Sheets
• Book and Bank Reconciliations
• Cashflow Forecast
• Debtors Schedule
Quarterly Duties:
• VAT Returns
Yearly Duties:
• End of Year – P35, SC35, P14, P11D
• Prepare for Annual Audit
• Tax Inspection and VAT Inspection
Experience, Attributes & Qualities:
• Previous experience within the areas of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Credit Control and Payroll is essential
• SAGE experience is desirable
• AAT, ACCA, CMA or CIMA qualification is desirable
• The ability to be proactive, work independently, and manage your own workload
• Time management skills
• A proactive ‘can do’ attitude, with a desire to learn
• Good relationship building and communication skills are essential for the credit control duties within this role
• Accuracy and attention to detail
